RNG City is a 2004-era server with a few twists: - Random drops from most killable NPCs, rate increases with difficulty. - 5+ cat followers allowed! - Chance to get pumpkins & easter eggs from skilling, combat, and other activities. Trade them in during holiday events for a chance to receive a wearable holiday item. - Chompy hats earned through combat, similar to defenders at Warrior's Guild. - Limited changes to other parts of the game (e.g. essence mine teleports you to a random runecraft altar upon exit). - 2x xp rate. RNG City follows the Lost City preservation project release roadmap, capturing the nostalgia of playing the game at a point in time with enough added content to shake things up. Veridia is an OSRS-based semi-custom server now open for public beta. The goal is simple: keep the game familiar, but add progression and content that gives players more to work toward long term. Start with a 50x base XP rate and build into systems like skill Prestige, daily Boss Contracts, Group Ironman, Construction/POH, useful skilling content, and solo/duo-friendly raid scaling. Prestige lets you reset individual 99 skills for higher ranks, slower XP, hiscores, and perks across combat, gathering, production, and support skills. Boss Contracts give you daily Easy, Medium, and Hard PvM targets that reward Hunter Marks for supplies and contract rewards. Veridia is still in beta, so a wipe before full release is possible, but beta testers will receive recognition/rewards if that happens. If you want to join early, test new systems, give feedback, and help shape polls, balancing, and future content before full release, Veridia is worth checking out.

Reason Reforged is a brand new semi-custom OSRS server packed with raids, Yama, Doom, semi-custom bosses, world events, mega perks, mystery boxes, item upgrading, the disintegrator, strong stores, and loads of unique content. The Titans are also coming soon. If you are new, visit ::catalysts and claim one starter weapon from Catalyst Brute, Catalyst Mager, and Catalyst Ranger. Then apply Fully Loaded Level 5 for a huge early-game boost. You can manage perks through the Item Workbench. Before training, understand your game mode. If you want to farm perk points early, starting on Easy mode is usually the best route. Game mode changes are handled through Party Pete at Home Bank. After creating your character, head north of Home Bank to the Perk Master. Right-click, select Exchange, open the Perk Shop, use your Perk Ticket, and claim Speedy Strikes Level 5. This gives a strong early boost for combat and PvM. From there, choose your path. You can farm perks first for better long-term progression, or go straight into combat using ::train and move into Slayer, bossing, and harder PvM content. How to choose the right RSPS for you

OSRS private servers

Old-school servers recreate RuneScape as it was in 2007. The best ones get the economy right: drops that feel meaningful, skills that take real effort, and a community that values the same things you do. If you want the original grind without the crowded worlds of the official game, a well-run OSRS server is still the most played category on RSPS List.

Semi-custom RSPS

Semi-custom servers keep the familiar 2007 foundation but layer original content on top. Custom bosses with their own drop tables. Reworked skills that cut the worst grinds without losing the satisfaction. Quality of life that the official game still has not added. These servers tend to have the most active development teams because they are not locked into preserving a historical snapshot.

Full custom RSPS

Custom servers are built from the ground up with their own progression systems, their own economies, and their own reasons to log in. The barrier to entry is higher because there is more to learn. But custom servers with strong communities tend to keep players for years. On RSPS List, custom servers often earn the highest sustained vote counts because regular content updates give players a reason to keep coming back.

How to evaluate a server

What the numbers on RSPS List actually tell you

Before committing time to a new server, check the vote counts across multiple periods. A server with strong all-time votes but flat weekly activity might be coasting on history. A server with growing weekly votes is almost certainly getting active updates. The servers that sit at the top of RSPS List for months at a time are backed by teams that actually respond to their community.

The tags on each listing tell you what the server has built. PvM, PvP, Ironman, gambling economies: these are not just labels, they shape the whole experience. A server tagged for ironman modes will have a very different economy than one built around PvP. Filter by the tag that matches what you actually want to do.

New servers on RSPS List often have the smallest vote counts but the highest engagement from their early community. If you want to get in before a server establishes its economy and its veteran players, the new servers list is where to look. Early joiners have always had an outsized impact on how an RSPS community develops.

How does RSPS List rank servers?

Rank comes down to player votes. Anyone can vote for a server once a day, and those votes feed the daily, weekly and monthly leaderboards. We verify votes through callbacks and filtering, so the order you see reflects genuine player activity rather than who paid for placement.

Is RSPS List free to use?

Yes. Browsing RSPS List, voting and listing your own server are all free. Server owners can pay to advertise for extra visibility, but advertising never changes the ranked order. The list stays honest.

What's the difference between OSRS, semi-custom and custom servers?
